LINCOLNSHIRE SAUSAGE!

OK... So this weekend, as I am back in Lincolnshire.. Its all going to be about the Lincolnshire Sausage!! I would like to class myself as a bit of a sausage connoisseur, and I would definitely say that Lincolnshire sausages are the best in the world!! If you haven't tried them... you are missing out, that's for sure!!! Watch out for some Saturday recipe's not to be missed!!

Top 10 Cupcake Designs of the Week.

I thought I would dedicate the rest of the day to my love for cupcakes!! I love cupcakes that are ORIGINAL....PERSONAL..DELICIOUS AND INSPIRING... So enjoy a few of my favourites...

FOOD WITH PERSONALITY

It may sound bazaar, but I really do think certain ingredients portray particular personalities - In my mind Paprika would definitely be a stern Mexican man with a curly moustache and a Cupcake would be a cute old grandma wearing a floral apron. I think it’s really important to think outside the box with food and create something that is 'more' than just food. This is why I particularly love these gingerbread men and women! I can just see them living in a little gingerbread village going about there daily business.. VERY CUTE!

HUGE LOVE FOR ICECREAM!!

Although the heat wave is quickly disappearing on us... I am still sporting that Summery feeling and what better way to celebrate the summertime than Ice-cream!! Now I am very partial to a classic 99p cone, but I do like to push the boat out and experiment with flavours, colours and combinations as well!! Ice cream is so versatile and aesthetically beautiful - I mean who can really resist the sound of the Ice-cream van whizzing down your road?? So… How do you like yours?

If only I had one of these to make a day in the office a bit more exciting!! I love the early morning treat of having both toast and post its to help you through the day - Very tasteful :)

DO-NUT YOU WANT A BATH

Probably not the most hygienic way to bathe... or eat doughnuts, come to think of it!! But this definitely is most girls idea of heaven - especially mine anyway, as long as I were able to eat every single doughnut and not put on a single pound on.. AS IF!! Otherwise the temptation of laying in a bath full of doughnuts would be more like hell. Never the less this outrageous idea makes for a beautiful foodie photo, that’s for sure!!

I'm not to sure if I like the idea of eating a brain shaped meal - although it is very original and quirky!! Brain anyone?

I absolutley love these images created through the collabortion of French Photographer Pierre Javelle who works with culinary magazines, and Akiko Ida, a Japanese photographer and artist.
I love the quirky settings and surroundings created here using food as a basis and creating new worlds with these minature figures which are strategically placed in scenes and poses that we face everyday. 
This art reminds me of an alternate world shown somewhere on a sci-fi channel late at night, aswell as the classic film 'Hunny I shrunk the Kids' - the figures really do come to life with the foody platform.

I am completely mesmerized by the cake decorator extraordinaire, Maggie Austin. She creates edible elegance and sophisticated finesse with a subtle yet unmistakable mark of haute couture. Cakes and cookies are her forte but these are not just ordinary creations, they are pure perfection in my eyes!!!
